Tangible Disconnection

This series is about tangible disconnection.

The feeling of loneliness, love, and loss.

We have a very close family bond; The death of my father in June 2020 left a great emptiness. My parents have been happily married for more than 50 years.

For this project, my mother, sister, and I have all contributed in our own way to translate our feelings into visuals.

My sister helped a lot with building the set; the set contains pictures of my dad and grandmother, letters, and paintings from my great-grandmother.

Its also a reflection of the mourning, missing, and feeling of emptiness that so many people experience.

2020 has been a year where we all experienced the feeling of disconnection at many levels.
